- **Soil:** Pale, sand-rich soil the locals call "sabbie astiane": clayey-calcareous marl of marine sedimentary origin, low in organic matter but rich in trace elements, especially magnesium.
- **Exposure:** South-east facing, at about 230 metres above sea level.
- **Harvest:** Hand-picked.
- **Vineyard planting:** Guyot-trained.
- **Vinification:** Soft crushing, cold skin maceration at 8 to 10°C for 48 hours, then fermentation on the skins for 3 to 4 days at a controlled temperature of 22 to 23°C in soft-system tanks. The wine rests on its own lees for an average of 2 to 3 months in steel tanks.

## Tasting notes

Ruby red with violet reflections. Fine, persistent aromas of violet, cherry, blueberry, jam and spice. Soft, persistent and balanced on the palate.
