## Summary

San Defendente is a historic vineyard in the hills around Canale, over 300 metres in altitude, that has long been home to the Deltetto family. The Roero Arneis Riserva from this vineyard is released each year with a unique, numbered artist's label; vintages 2017 through 2021 were found on the site.

## Tasting notes

Intense straw yellow color with a fine, intriguing and heterogeneous nose; flowers and ripe fruit accompany hydrocarbon notes. Freshness and flavor are contrasted by softness and structure in the mouth.

## Food pairings

Starters, first courses, blue fish and shellfish. Good with seasoned Castelmagno d'Alpeggio DOP.
