Maxima is Colombo's top Pinot Nero selection, from 100% Pinot Nero grown in the estate's most highly regarded cru, aged in tonneaux before an extended spell in bottle.

## Tasting notes

Intense ruby red. An elegant, complex bouquet opens with violet and dog rose, moving into ripe cherry and strawberry, herbal notes and vanilla, with spicy nutmeg on the finish. On the palate it shows excellent structure, fine velvety tannins, fruit balanced by the tonneaux ageing, black pepper and aromatic herbs, and a mineral, fresh finish built for long cellaring.
