- **Vineyard planting:** Guyot, 4,400 to 5,000 vines per hectare
- **Vinification:** Grapes are hand-picked and gently pressed by machine so the stalks stay whole and the seeds are not crushed. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in steel tanks, with skin maceration of about 25 days. The wine is then aged for about 15 months in barrique before bottling on a waning moon, unfiltered and unclarified.

## Summary

A single-cru Barbaresco from the Marcorino vineyard in Neive, planted in 1944 and added to the estate's production in 2018 from two small plots; the first vintage is due for release from 2024.

## Tasting notes

Bright, transparent garnet red, floral, with small red fruits, sweet spices and undergrowth. Dense, silky tannin with structure and depth, elegant and long-lived, with a long finish.
