## Summary

Dogliani Superiore DOCG Dolcetto from the historic Pirochetta vineyard, planted in 1946, a more complex and long-lived selection than the estate's San Luigi.

## Tasting notes

Purple-red colour with ruby-violet flashes. Deep and vertical on the nose, with fruity aromas building into an enveloping, balanced bouquet: cherries, plums and redcurrants give way to spice and liquorice notes. The palate shows decisiveness and character, softness and roundness despite evident tannin, with a long, persistent finish. Proven ageing potential.

## Food pairings

Not a wine for light pairings: its structure and personality suit rich meat dishes, and it is also excellent with soups, cured meats and cheeses.
