## Summary

Langhe DOC Barbera from a selection of estate vineyards planted in 2003 and 2017, aged in large oak.

## Tasting notes

Deep, almost impenetrable ruby red, lively and eye-catching. The nose expresses the variety's typical personality with a complex, intense bouquet of fruity aromas (blackberry, sour cherry) and above all spice (vanilla, pepper). On the palate the traditional acidity supports a voluminous, rich body, finishing long and characterful with a pleasant return of fruit.

## Food pairings

An ideal companion for aperitifs based on cured meats, light cheeses (its acidity offsets their creaminess) and pulses. Also good with first courses such as red-wine risottos and all kinds of stuffed pasta (agnolotti, plin, tortellini) dressed with ragu, and with second courses such as white meats and roasted vegetables.
