> Red, Barbera Monferrato DOC by [Cascina Castlèt](https://ilvinobello.com/wineries/cascina-castlet.md), Asti, Piemonte, Italy. From Il Vino Bello (https://ilvinobello.com/wines/cascina-castlet-goj).

- **Producer:** Cascina Castlèt
- **Style:** Red
- **Denomination:** Barbera Monferrato DOC
- **Grape:** Barbera 100%
- **Production area:** Asti hillsides (colline astigiane)
- **Harvest:** First half of October, entirely hand-picked.
- **Vineyard planting:** About 4,800 vines per hectare; average yield 90 quintals of grapes per hectare (63 hl of wine).
- **Vinification:** Grapes go straight to crushing. Alcoholic fermentation with skin maceration runs at a constant 28°C for 6 to 7 days, followed immediately by malolactic fermentation after racking. - **Storage:** Rests in bottle one to two months before release; best enjoyed young for its freshness.
- **Last updated:** 2026-09-25
