## Summary

Nebbiolo from a south-facing Monferrato hill at Scurzolengo, 14% abv, aged 18 months in barriques. The estate's first Nebbiolo from the Monferrato, made after a lifetime devoted to Ruchè.

## Tasting notes

Garnet red with orange reflections. Mature nose of liquorice, spice, ripe fruit and vanilla, with undergrowth and moss. On the palate robust and austere alternating with warm, velvety passages.

## Food pairings

Red meat, game, aged cheeses, stuffed or egg pasta and risotto; also a wine for contemplation.
