## Summary

Barbera d'Asti Superiore from vineyards over fifty years old, partly aged in ceramic amphorae. Barbera 100%, 13.5% vol.

## Tasting notes

Ruby red with an air of rare elegance. Ripe blackberry on the nose with blackcurrant and violet. Warm and rich in fruit on the palate; the ceramic ageing of half the wine emphasises minerality. Balanced and persistent, with the varietal traits of Barbera.

## Food pairings

Classic pasta and beans, or the Piedmontese risotto alla Barbera; best with braised red meat marinated in the same wine, game, hare, wild boar, donkey stew, fat beef fillet and roasts. Unusual pairing: salmon curry with coconut milk.
