The Castellero grapes are vinified separately only in good vintages; in weaker years they are blended with Nebbiolo from other plots into Barolo without a vineyard name. Wine aged in wood is neither filtered nor clarified (estate-level statement).
- **Serving temperature:** 16 to 18 C when the Barolo is young; pour into large glasses straight from the bottle. Wines over 15 years old: open 2 to 3 hours ahead and pour off a glass first.
