## Summary

Barbera d'Alba named after Egidio, the founder of the winery and father of Valter, made from a Barbera vineyard Valter planted for the purpose. Aged about a year in barriques.

## Tasting notes

Ruby red with garnet reflections. A rich nose where red berry fruit meets spice and closes on vanilla. Powerful but harmonious, vinous and full. Dry with silky tannin.

## Food pairings

Cheese, pasta, risotto, meat like brasato.
