- **Vinification:** Controlled-temperature maceration for 15 days with intense, frequent pump-overs; after racking and a first transfer, alcoholic fermentation is completed and malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barriques, two thirds new. Ages about 14 months in barrique and a further 6 months in bottle.

## Tasting notes

Colour: full, dense ruby red taking on garnet hues with age. Nose: broad, intense and very complex, with plum jam, floral hints, vanilla, tobacco and spice. Palate: full, ample and structured, very soft, with very long persistence.
