## Summary

Barolo from a small hill in the most historic part of the Ravera cru in Novello, named for the partridges that nest there. Elvio Cogno dreamed of the vineyard and his son-in-law Valter brought it to bottle; aged 36 months in large oak.

## Tasting notes

Ruby to garnet red. Intense violet with a hint of damp soil, ripe red fruit and subtle spice. Harmonious and well structured, with incisive yet fine, soft tannins. Elegant when young, with silkiness and complexity that allow long ageing.

## Food pairings

Long-cooked red and white meats with important condiments, stew, pot roast, game, hard aged cheeses.
