## Summary

Abrigo Fratelli's Nebbiolo d'Alba, from a 0.9 ha plot planted in 2003, aged partly in wood for a fuller style than the Langhe Nebbiolo.

## Tasting notes

Colour: clear, fairly intense ruby red with garnet reflections. Bouquet: fairly intense, complex and fine, balsamic and spicy on entry, broadening into ripe raspberry jam and currants, very fine oak spice, balsamic violet in the background. Taste: dry, warm, fresh and quite soft, velvety sandy tannin, vanilla and oak, persistent mineral sensation, robust but balanced body, very fine and long.

## Food pairings

Full-bodied dishes, well-seasoned first courses, meat mains, well-aged cheeses
