## About

In business on the hill of Castiglione Falletto since the 19th century, Vietti was transformed into a proper wine estate by Mario Vietti starting in 1919, and became a pioneer of single-vineyard Barolo when the Currado family, who married into the estate, began separately bottling individual crus in 1961 — a radical choice at the time now standard across Barolo and Barbaresco. Vietti has long paired winemaking with art: since 1970 well-known artists have designed labels for the estate's "Designer Labels and Manifesto" project each vintage. The Krause family acquired Vietti in 2016, maintaining its range of single-vineyard Barolo alongside Barbera, Arneis, Timorasso and Moscato from across the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato.

- [Brunate](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/vietti-brunate.md): Barolo DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Brunate, in the commune of La Morra, gives Vietti's Barolo a softer, more elegant expression than the estate's Serralunga sites.

- [La Crena](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/vietti-la-crena.md): Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Barbera, Red. La Crena extends Vietti's Barbera range beyond Alba into the Asti zone, offering a contrasting, brighter style.
- [Lazzarito](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/vietti-lazzarito.md): Barolo DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Lazzarito is one of Vietti's single-vineyard Barolos from the powerful Serralunga d'Alba zone.
- [Monvigliero](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/vietti-monvigliero.md): Barolo DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Monvigliero, in the commune of Verduno, is prized among Barolo's crus for its perfume and elegance, and has drawn increasing critical attention in recent vintages.
