## About

Teo Costa is a family farm in Castellinaldo d'Alba, run by brothers Marco and Roberto Costa with their parents and Roberto's three children, the fifth generation. It grew from a business founded at the end of the 1800s by Antonio Costa, nicknamed Giobbe, and the Teo Costa name honours his son Teobaldo. From 3 hectares the estate now farms 80, about 450,000 vines, across the Roero (Castellinaldo and Castagnito), Treiso in the Barbaresco zone, Novello in the Barolo zone and Montechiaro d'Acqui in the Monferrato. Wines are grouped in three lines, Teo Costa, Giobbe and Vitidautunno, running from Roero Arneis and Barbera d'Alba to Barbaresco, Barolo and an Alta Langa. In 2007 the family patented a way of making wine without added sulphites, which became the Libera Natura range. They also raise Nero di Cavour pigs and cure the meat.

## Visits & tastings

Visits happen at the family cellar in Castellinaldo d'Alba, by appointment, with a view over the vineyards of the Roero. Tastings pair the wines with local products, including cured meats from the estate's own Nero di Cavour pigs.
