## About

Tenute RaDe is a family winery in San Marzano Oliveto, in the Asti hills of Monferrato, founded in 1988 when Raimondo Cusmano left the city and his native Sicily to grow grapes here. His son Daniele Cusmano now runs the winemaking alongside him, working 45 hectares of vines across the Monferrato; the Tenute RaDe name itself blends the two Cusmanos' own names. The range centres on Barbera d'Asti, including a Nizza DOCG bottling, alongside a Sauvignon Blanc based Monferrato Bianco, still and traditional method Timorasso sourced from the Colli Tortonesi, an Alta Langa made by the classic method from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and Moscato d'Asti. San Marzano Oliveto lies within the production zone of Nizza, the DOCG created for Monferrato's most serious Barbera, and the Colli Tortonesi to the north is where Timorasso, once nearly abandoned, has become one of Piemonte's most distinctive whites.
