## About

Tenuta Tenaglia sits at 450 metres at the foot of the Sacro Monte di Crea, in Serralunga di Crea, in the Monferrato. The house dates to the early 1600s and takes its name from Giorgio Tenaglia, governor of Moncalvo, who made wine and kept horses here. Hannelore and Alois Ehrmann bought the estate in 2000, and today the Italo-German family runs it, with owner Sabine, her children and the team. Sixteen hectares of vines are farmed for yields of 50 to 70 quintals per hectare, following a "less is more" approach that puts quality before volume. Enologist Roberto Imarisio looks after the wines, which centre on Barbera d'Asti, Barbera del Monferrato and Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese, with Chardonnay, Syrah and a white called Otium alongside. Guests can taste on site and stay in one of three apartments on the estate.
