## About

Nino Costa is a four-generation family estate in Montà d'Alba, in the Roero. The family's forefather Gepin chose this land, his descendant Nino, known as Stefanino, turned the farm into a working cellar, and Alessandro, a trained winemaker from Turin who worked in France and the United States, took over in 2009 and redesigned the cellar from scratch. The family farms 10 hectares in the Roero and makes nine wines: two Roero Arneis, a Dolcetto d'Alba, a Nebbiolo d'Alba, a Langhe Nebbiolo, two Barbera d'Alba and a Roero DOCG in standard and Riserva versions. Most carry the name of the vineyard they come from, and Gepin is the highest of them. Roero lies on the left bank of the Tanaro, opposite the Langhe, on sandy soils and about an hour from Turin.
