## About

Produttori di Govone is a cooperative winery founded in 1957 in Govone, in the Roero hills of Cuneo province. About 250 member growers farm roughly 295 hectares between Alba, Roero and the Asti and Monferrato hills, and the cellar turns that into around two million litres a year. Barbera leads, with 79 hectares of Barbera d'Alba and 97 of Barbera d'Asti, followed by Nebbiolo, Arneis and Dolcetto, plus smaller plantings of Bonarda, Freisa, Grignolino, Cortese, Chardonnay, Favorita and Ruchè.

Langhe and Roero grapes are vinified at Govone and Asti and Monferrato grapes at Montegrosso d'Asti, with a collection centre at Portacomaro. The list is split into lines: Terre Sabaude, a registered trademark of the cooperative for its top range, the single-plot I Parcellari, Luna di Mezzanotte, the Le Cascine labels, everyday selection and classic ranges, and bag-in-box. Govone's castle belongs to the UNESCO-listed Savoy residences.
