## About

Poderi Rosso Giovanni is a three-generation family estate in Agliano Terme, now run by Lionello Rosso. Its 12 hectares are planted almost entirely to Barbera, around Cascina Perno and Cascina San Sebastiano, on slightly calcareous, loose-textured soil. The team prunes with the Simonit and Sirch method, uses green manure and propagates new vines from cuttings taken from the farm's oldest plots. Wine is made and aged in two cellars: a historic one from 1698 in the centre of the village and a newer one at Cascina Perno, renovated in 2017. The range is five wines: San Bastian, Cascina Perno and Carlinet as Barbera d'Asti, the Barbera and Cabernet blend Infine, and Gioco dell'Oca, a Barbera d'Asti Superiore. Agliano Terme sits in the Asti hills of the Monferrato, part of the UNESCO-listed Piedmont wine landscape since 2014.
