## About

Pelassa is a family winery in Montà d'Alba, in the Roero hills north of the Tanaro. Mario Pelassa and his wife Maria Teresa Viglione founded it in 1960, after Mario started out selling wine in Turin by bicycle. Since the 2000s their sons Davide and Daniele have run it: Davide looks after the vineyards and the grapes, Daniele handles sales and communication.

The range runs from Roero Arneis (San Vito, Tucci) and Roero Riserva Sterlotti to Nebbiolo d'Alba Sot, Barbera d'Alba Superiore San Pancrazio and Barolo, including the San Lorenzo cru in Verduno. The cellar has a ventilated roof, solar panels and water recovery. Roero's sandy and clay soils sit on hills between 250 and 400 metres.
