## About

Pecchenino is a family estate now run by brothers Orlando and Attilio, the third generation to farm these vineyards after their father Marino and grandfather Attilio. The family farms 35 hectares across three villages: Dogliani, home to the original cellar and the estate's dolcetto, nebbiolo and barbera vines; Monforte d'Alba, where a more recently restored cellar is dedicated to Barolo; and Bossolasco, planted with pinot nero and chardonnay for the estate's Alta Langa sparkling wines. In the vineyards, rows are kept grassed over to protect the soil, fertilizing is organic, and copper sulfate and mineral sulfur replace synthetic sprays against mildew and oidium; all other vineyard work is done by hand. Dogliani sits in the southern Langhe hills, long the heartland of dolcetto and now its own DOCG, while Monforte d'Alba is one of the eleven communes entitled to produce Barolo DOCG.
