## About

Palladino has made wine in the centre of Serralunga d'Alba since 1974, when Piero Palladino, born in the Langhe and living elsewhere, bought the cellar and left its running to his cousin and partner Maurilio. Today Maurilio works alongside Veronica, Alessandro and Margherita. The estate farms three Barolo vineyards: San Bernardo, facing south-east, which gives the Riserva, and the south-facing Ornato and Parafada, all on calcareous clay. Work in the vines is done by hand. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel, malolactic in cement, and the wines age in large French and Slavonian oak casks. Alongside the Barolos the range includes Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto d'Alba, Roero Arneis, Gavi, Moscato d'Asti and a Barolo Chinato. Serralunga sits on the eastern side of the Barolo zone.
