## About

Mossio Fratelli is a family estate in Rodello, in the Langhe, farmed today by Valerio and Remo Mossio with their nephew Michele, continuing work begun by their grandparents Francesco and Francesca and carried on by Luigi and Ennio Mossio. The family owns about 10 hectares around its farmhouse, on land documented in Rodello's property records back to the 16th century; one plot, Piano delli Perdoni, is already named in a 1676 deed. Dolcetto is the estate's main focus, grown on two named crus, Bricco Caramelli and Piano delli Perdoni, alongside Barbera and Nebbiolo, which the family also blends into a Langhe Rosso. Gamvs, a Dolcetto d'Alba Superiore, and Le Margherite, a passito from dried Dolcetto grapes, complete the range, at about 50,000 bottles a year. Yields are kept low and farming eco-compatible. Rodello sits in the Langhe, part of the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato vineyard landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in truffle and hazelnut country near Alba.
