## About

Magda Pedrini is a family estate at Pratolungo, a hamlet within the commune of Gavi in the province of Alessandria, on ground first recorded in the 1632 Statuti di Gavi as part of the old Ca' da Meo holding. Current owner Magda Pedrini took on the property in 2006, when it had fallen into neglect, and rebuilt the vineyards, now twelve hectares planted entirely to Cortese and in organic conversion since August 2017. Work in the cellar and the vines is guided by an eco-conscious approach: hand-picked fruit gathered in small wooden crates, renewable energy, and wines made with the least added sulphites the estate can manage. From these vines come two still Cortese wines and a metodo classico sparkling, all labelled Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi, plus a Monferrato DOC Rosso blend of Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon. Gavi sits at Piemonte's southern edge, close to Liguria, where Cortese has long been the grape behind the region's best-known white.
