## About

La Vecchia Posta is a family farm run by Roberto Semino with Annemie and Matteo, at 425 m above sea level in Avolasca, in the Colli Tortonesi of south-east Piemonte. Three hectares of vines have been farmed organically for 27 years (ICEA certified), with Barbera, Dolcetto and Cortese alongside Timorasso, the native variety the family also calls Derthona. Grapes are picked by hand, and most fermentations start spontaneously, in steel and oak tonneaux, with some wines made without added sulphites. The farm also keeps a few Tortonese-Varzese cattle, a large vegetable garden, an orchard and solar panels, and runs a B&B with views over the hills. Timorasso is the white grape most associated with the hills around Tortona.

## Visits & tastings

The farm is also a B&B, so a stay among the vines is the main way in; the family asks that visits, orders and the current price list are arranged by phone or email.
