## About

La Spinetta is a family winery in Castagnole delle Lanze, in the Asti hills, run by the Rivetti family. Carlo, Bruno, Giorgio and Giovanna took over from their parents, and in 1977 began making single-vineyard Moscato, Bricco Quaglia and Biancospino. Barbera Cà di Pian followed in 1982 and Pin in 1989. The first Barbaresco, Gallina, came in 1995, then Starderi and Valeirano, all from Neive. In Grinzane Cavour the family makes Barolo Campè and Garretti, and it also bottles a Timorasso from the Colli Tortonesi. Vineyards are farmed organically, older vines are kept for the depth they give, and yields never exceed 1,600 bottles per acre. Casanova della Spinetta, the family's Tuscan estate, is a separate winery.

The Castagnole delle Lanze winery receives visitors by appointment, in English or Italian. Visits at the Campè cellar in Grinzane Cavour are reserved for One Liter Club members.
