## About

I Versanti was founded in 2020 by Enrico Oliveri on the steep hills above Acqui Terme, at about 400 metres. A little over three hectares of sandy-calcareous soil on marl are worked by hand under biodynamic principles, with slopes of more than 30 per cent. Brachetto, Moscato, Barbera and Dolcetto are vinified parcel by parcel in small batches, with spontaneous fermentation and under 10 mg/l of total sulphur. The range is small and unusual: Brachetto appears as a still red (L'Innominato, Equinozio) and as a lightly sparkling rosé (Il Duetto), Moscato as a fizzy white (Bandiera Gialla) and as long-macerated orange wines (Cicaleccio, Sulì), and Barbera as the red Bòta and the ancestral-method rosé Ribòta. Acqui Terme is best known for Brachetto d'Acqui, but these wines are bottled as plain vino rosso or bianco.
