## About

Hilberg Pasquero is a family estate in Priocca, on the southeastern edge of Roero, facing Barbaresco across the Tanaro valley. Annette Hilberg came from Germany in the early 1980s and, with Piedmontese agronomist Michele Pasquero, built the winery and a family together; their children and a small team now share the work between vineyard and cellar. The estate farms under what it calls a Bioergodynamic approach, formalised in 2006, pairing organic and biodynamic practice with spontaneous fermentation and long ageing in wood, concrete or ceramic. Nebbiolo and Barbera are vinified as separate micro-plots, among them Monteforche, Monselli and the Colle della Stella, each bottled on its own. Roero is a UNESCO-listed landscape of sandy, clay and limestone hills north of the Tanaro, ranked alongside Barolo and Barbaresco as one of the Langhe area's three Nebbiolo zones, a short drive from Alba.
