## About

Gagliasso is a family estate in La Morra, run today by Mario Gagliasso, his wife Luciana, and their children Luca and Nicoletta, both trained oenologists. The company was founded in 1967 as Gagliasso Michele e Figli and bottled its first Barolo in 1971; Mario took over from his father in the 1980s. The cellar sits in the old Torriglione hamlet, at the heart of the Barolo production zone, and was expanded in 2009. About 15 hectares of vines, farmed to a certified integrated and sustainable protocol, spread across La Morra, Monforte, Novello and Cherasco. La Morra fruit goes into the Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata and Torriglione, blended into a Riserva in the best vintages, while the Ciabot Russ vineyard in Novello supplies the Nebbiolo, Barbera Superiore and Dolcetto. Rocche dell'Annunziata is one of La Morra's most highly regarded Barolo vineyards, prized for its perfumed, elegant style.
