## About

Fratelli Alessandria is a family winery in Verduno, at the northern edge of the Barolo zone. The cellar has been active since around 1830, first as Fratelli Dabbene, and took its present name after a marriage around 1870 joined the two families. Gian Battista Alessandria, his wife Flavia, his brother Alessandro and his son Vittore are the seventh and eighth generations. The estate makes wine only from its own 15 hectares in Verduno and Monforte d'Alba, with sites such as Monvigliero, San Lorenzo and Gramolere. The vines are all native varieties: Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa, Pelaverga Piccolo and Favorita, the only white. Speziale is the name of their Verduno Pelaverga, and also of the family agriturismo, Speziale Wine Resort, in the village.
