## About

The Sobrero family has farmed vines in Castiglione Falletto since 1940, when Francesco Sobrero began growing and selling grapes; his sons Settimo and Pier Franco started making wine in the 1960s and released their first Barolo label in 1964. Settimo's son Flavio, trained as an enotecnico, joined in 2000 and the estate has since moved to organic farming. The estate now farms sixteen hectares: thirteen around Castiglione Falletto, where the reds and the Barolo are grown, and three in Canelli planted with Moscato. Barolo is the heart of the range, drawn from the Villero and Pernanno crus, from Parussi, and from a blend of several parcels called Ciabot Tanasio, alongside Dolcetto, Barbera, Langhe Nebbiolo, Langhe Bianco, Moscato d'Asti, Alta Langa and Barolo Chinato. Castiglione Falletto sits at the centre of the Barolo zone.

Sobrero welcomes visitors to the cellar to see the estate and taste the wines, by reservation only. The cellar is open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays.
