## About

Francesco Boschis is a family estate on the Pianezzo hill above Dogliani, in the southwestern Langhe. The Boschis family has farmed here since 1919, when Telesforo Boschis planted the first vines; his grandson Mario began estate bottling in 1968, and today Mario and Simona run the property with their sons Paolo and Marco. Dolcetto is the backbone of the estate, making up around three quarters of production, split across a basic Dogliani DOCG and three single vineyard Dogliani Superiore bottlings, Vigna dei Prey, Vigne Sorì San Martino and Vigna del Ciliegio, all carrying the Pianezzo geographic mention since 2018. The cellar also makes Barbera, Freisa, Grignolino, Pinot Nero and Sauvignon Blanc, all unfiltered and farmed under the Piemonte the Green Experience sustainability certification. Dogliani DOCG, in the southwestern Langhe, is one of the few Piemonte appellations built entirely around Dolcetto.

Visits are by appointment, up on the Pianezzo hillside about 5 km from Dogliani village. A visit takes in the different vineyards, the cellar and a tasting of the wines.
