## About

Flavio Roddolo works a small family estate at Cascina Bricco Appiani, on the hillside behind Monforte d'Alba. He farms around five hectares of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Cabernet Sauvignon, some of the vines more than seventy years old, and trained in the cellar under his father. The wines are made in traditional fashion, with indigenous yeasts, large wooden vats and old barrels, and without fining or filtration. The range runs from Dolcetto d'Alba and Nebbiolo d'Alba to Barbera d'Alba Superiore and a Barolo, plus Bricco Appiani, a Langhe Rosso from Cabernet Sauvignon. Production is small, in the order of thirty thousand bottles a year.
