## About

Azienda Pastoris is a small family estate in Viverone, in the province of Biella, on the moraine hills around Lake Viverone. The family dates its winegrowing to 1900 and has been working towards organic certification of its vineyards since 2014. Farming and cellar work are kept light-handed, with unfiltered wines and very low sulphur.

Nebbiolo comes from the La Cucca vineyard in Roppolo, a former holding of the nobles of Roppolo Castle. Erbaluce is made as a dry white, a sparkling wine (Volo Libero) and a passito. There is also a red field blend, Uvaggio, and a Piemonte Bianco with some skin-macerated fruit.

Viverone sits on the edge of the Serra Morenica di Ivrea, the glacial moraine ridge, and looks across the lake to the Alps.
