## About

Domenico Clerico was an innovator of Italian winemaking, based in Monforte d'Alba in the heart of the Barolo zone. He built the estate starting with a 1977 purchase of a plot in the Bussia cru, from which his first Barolo Briccotto was born, later acquiring vineyards in the Ginestra cru (Ciabot Mentin and Pajana) and, in 1995, the Mosconi cru (Percristina); between 2005 and 2006 he expanded into the neighbouring commune of Serralunga d'Alba with Aeroplanservaj. Today the estate covers about 21 hectares and produces around 110,000 bottles a year. Since Domenico's death the winery has been carried on by Giuliana, who was there from its founding and worked on the project alongside him from the start, supported by the historic team.
