## About

Diego Morra is a family estate in Verduno, on the northern edge of the Barolo zone, based at Cascina Mosca since the family's first vineyard plot in the mid 1900s. Three generations, Domenico, Antonio and Diego, have worked the land, which now runs to 30 hectares of vines in Verduno, La Morra and Roddi, alongside 20 hectares of hazelnuts. Nebbiolo dominates the plots, farmed with organic fertilisers, integrated pest control and hand harvesting, together with Barbera, Dolcetto, Pelaverga and Chardonnay. The range runs from a communal Verduno Barolo and a single vineyard San Lorenzo bottling to a historic Barolo from the Monvigliero cru, whose fruit the family has farmed since their grandfather Geronimo's day. Verduno itself sits on the sandier, cooler northern rim of Barolo, a spot long valued for wines of unusual perfume and pale colour, and Monvigliero is counted among its finest vineyards.
