## About

Davide Carlone founded this small estate in 1991, rebuilding vineyards his own ancestors, the Teruggi and Zanolini families, had farmed since the 1880s in the hills around Grignasco, in Novara province. What began as 3,500 square metres has grown, with his sister Michela at his side, to 11 hectares.

The vineyards sit on the Boca side of the Colline Novaresi, on the eroded remains of an ancient supervolcano whose porphyry-rich soil runs through the Sesia Val Grande UNESCO Global Geopark. From it come single-variety Nebbiolo, Vespolina and Croatina under the Colline Novaresi DOC, two cuvees under the historic Boca DOC aged in Slavonian oak, two indigenous whites and a rosé. The estate works its vines with wood and stone supports, willow ties and organic fertiliser, and farms without herbicides.
