## About

Ceretto is a family company based at San Cassiano, just outside Alba. Riccardo Ceretto began making wine in Alba in the 1930s, and from the 1960s his sons Bruno and Marcello bought and mapped single vineyards, taking the idea of crus from Burgundy. Today the third generation, Lisa, Roberta, Alessandro and Federico, runs the company, which also takes in hospitality, art and the Piazza Duomo restaurant in Alba.

The wines come from four estates. Cantina Bricco Rocche in Castiglione Falletto bottles Barolo from Bricco Rocche, Rocche di Castiglione, Brunate, Bussia, Prapò and Cannubi San Lorenzo. Cantina Bricco Asili in Barbaresco gives Asili, Bernadot and Gallina. Tenuta Monsordo Bernardina makes Arneis, Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo d'Alba and the Monsordo Langhe Rosso, and I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano makes Moscato d'Asti and Asti Spumante.

## Wines (19)

- [Asili](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-asili.md): Barbaresco DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Asili was the vineyard around which Ceretto built its first estate winery, Bricco Asili, in 1973, and remains one of the family's benchmark Barbarescos.
- [Asti Spumante](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-asti-spumante.md): Asti Spumante DOCG, Moscato Bianco, Sparkling. Ceretto's fully sparkling expression from I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano, sharing its base wine with the Moscato d'Asti but finished with a second autoclave fermentation for true spumante character;…
- [Barbaresco](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-barbaresco.md): Barbaresco DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Ceretto's classic, traditional-style Barbaresco: a blend of a small parcel of Asili, their youngest-vine holding, with the lower, fuller part of Bernadot in Treiso, built for immediate harmony…
- [Barolo](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-barolo.md): Barolo DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Ceretto's classic Barolo DOCG, deliberately built to let the appellation's two "souls" coexist in one glass: the gentler, more perfumed character of the western slopes and the more austere,…
- [Barolo Chinato](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-barolo-chinato.md): Barolo Chinato, Nebbiolo, Fortified. A traditional after-dinner infusion made from the estate's own Barolo.
- [Bernadot](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-bernadot.md): Barbaresco DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Bernadot is one of three crus, alongside Asili and Gallina, that Ceretto farms around its original Bricco Asili estate in Barbaresco.
- [Bernardina](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-bernardina.md): Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC, Nebbiolo, Red. Bernardina, named for the Monsordo Bernardina estate, is Ceretto's accessible, early-drinking Nebbiolo.
- [Blangé](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-blange.md): Langhe DOC Arneis, Arneis, White. Launched in 1985, Blangé helped revive Arneis and remains one of the most recognisable Langhe whites.
- [Bricco Rocche](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-bricco-rocche.md): Barolo DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Bricco Rocche is the smallest cru in the Barolo appellation and a monopole owned entirely by the Ceretto family since 1982, with its own dedicated winery built atop the vineyard.
- [Brunate](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-brunate.md): Barolo DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Brunate, in La Morra, is one of Ceretto's single-vineyard Barolo crus alongside Prapò and Cannubi San Lorenzo.
- [Bussia](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-bussia.md): Barolo DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. From Bussia Soprana, one of the very first classified Barolo crus and the best-known vineyard of Monforte d'Alba, farmed by Ceretto under a rental agreement and vinified at the Bricco Rocche Winery.
- [Cannubi San Lorenzo](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-cannubi-san-lorenzo.md): Barolo DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Cannubi San Lorenzo comes from the most historic cru in Barolo; Ceretto bottles only a small number of magnums, released after at least ten years of ageing.
- [Gallina](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-gallina.md): Barbaresco DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Ceretto's newest Barbaresco cru, debuted from its first vinification after this small Neive parcel was acquired in 2015 - the acquisition that finally completed the family's goal of a…
- [Monsordo](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-monsordo.md): Langhe DOC Rosso, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Red. Monsordo takes its name from the Monsordo Bernardina estate on Alba's outskirts, blending native Piemontese grapes with international varieties.
- [Moscato d'Asti](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-moscato-d-asti.md): Moscato d'Asti DOCG, Moscato Bianco, Sweet. The flagship wine of I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano, the Moscato-dedicated winery Ceretto co-founded in 1976 with the Scavino family in their father's birthplace; its label and bottle were designed by…
- [Piana](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-piana.md): Barbera d'Alba DOC, Barbera, Red. Piana is Ceretto's Barbera d'Alba, an everyday red from the estate's Alba-area vineyards.
- [Prapò](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-prapo.md): Barolo DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. Prapò, in Serralunga d'Alba, gives Ceretto a more structured, age-worthy single-vineyard Barolo.
- [Rocche di Castiglione](https://ilvinobello.com/wines/ceretto-rocche-di-castiglione.md): Barolo DOCG, Nebbiolo, Red. The newest addition to Ceretto's single-vineyard Barolo range, from a cool, steep, southeast-facing site in Castiglione Falletto vinified at the Bricco Rocche Winery alongside Brunate, Prapò and…
