Over the centuries ownership passed between noble houses, among them the Pico Gonzaga counts and the Cacherano di Bricherasio family, before the Bonzanos, native to this territory, took over the winery in 2020; Francesca and Davide Bonzano now run it with a young team. The estate farms 45 of its 120 hectares under vine, producing around 100,000 bottles a year under SQNPI and Equalitas certification, built on Monferrato's own grapes: Barbera, Grignolino and Albarossa. Its best-known wines are a Metodo Classico sparkling range, aged two to five years in the Cave di Pietra da Cantoni, underground stone caves cut from the local white marl over more than 1,200 years.
