## About

Castello di Neive is run by the Stupino family, who bought the castle and part of its land in 1963. Italo Stupino, an engineer who has worked with the University of Turin since the 1970s, now leads the estate with his daughter Carolina, and Claudio Roggero has been director and oenologist since 1999. The vineyards include Santo Stefano, a monopole the estate bottles as Barbaresco, Riserva and Barbera, plus Gallina, Basarin, Messoirano, Montebertotto, Valtorta, i Cortini and Marcorino. Over 6 hectares of Nebbiolo at Santo Stefano are more than 50 years old. The cellars under the castle date from 1750, and Louis Oudart made early dry Nebbiolo wines there in the 1850s. The range runs from Barbaresco to Arneis, Riesling and a Pinot Nero Metodo Classico, with hazelnuts as a sideline. Neive is one of the villages of the Barbaresco zone.
