They grew hazelnuts, corn, wheat and vegetables, with a single hectare of vineyard. Since 1988 the estate has been run by their sons Marco and Massimo Barbero, who converted more land to vines and, by 1991, brought the estate to its current size between Neive and Mango. Nebbiolo grows in Neive, Moscato, Chardonnay and Pinot Nero in Mango. In 2002 the family built a new cellar in Neive, designed by architect Valerio Demaria of Alba and set into the hillside.
