## About

Cascina delle Rose is a small family estate in Tre Stelle, a hamlet of Barbaresco, run by the Rizzolio family since Beatrice and Ferdinando bought the farmhouse in 1948. Their granddaughter Giovanna took over running it in 1974, and today she works alongside her husband Italo and their sons Davide and Riccardo. The estate farms 5.5 certified-organic hectares out of 6.5 in total, producing around 30,000 bottles a year. Nebbiolo from the Rio Sordo, Tre Stelle and Marcorino crus anchors the range, alongside Barbera d'Alba (including the Superiore "Donna Elena"), Dolcetto d'Alba "A Elizabeth", Langhe Nebbiolo, and a small-batch white called Mun Crü from Neive. Tre Stelle and Rio Sordo are both officially recognized MGA subzones of the Barbaresco DOCG, the Nebbiolo appellation just northeast of Alba, across the Tanaro from Barolo.
