## About

Cascina Corte is a small family winery on the San Luigi hill above Dogliani, run by Sandro Barosi and Amalia Battaglia, who restored an abandoned farmhouse to start the estate. The vineyards date from the late 1940s and yield about 30-35 quintals per hectare, well below the Dolcetto di Dogliani DOCG limit of 90. In 2003 the couple planted about 1.5 hectares split between Barbera and Nebbiolo, and in 2002 they began the organic conversion of the estate, gaining certification in 2005. Since 2015 the estate has also experimented with amphora-aged wines using Tuscan terracotta jars.
