## About

Produttori del Gavi started in 1951 as the Cantina Sociale Cooperativa di Gavi, founded by 83 growers who met in the town hall to vinify their Cortese together and sell it collectively. Today some 80 member growers farm over 200 hectares spread across all eleven communes of the Gavi DOCG, mostly small plots of under 4 hectares worked by hand. The grapes are vinified in separate lots at the cellar in Gavi, which was re-equipped between 2006 and 2008.

The list reads the area zone by zone: a plain Gavi, four Gavi del Comune di Gavi (Mille951, GG, Maddalena, Bio), the barrique-fermented Aureliana, a Metodo Classico, a Charmat brut and a light frizzante, plus Barbera and Dolcetto from the Monferrato. Gavi is a Cortese white-wine district in the province of Alessandria, on the border with Liguria.
