## About

Delsignore is a small family estate in Gattinara, in the Alto Piemonte hills of Vercelli province. The family has made Gattinara since 1960, and in 2009 Stefano Dorelli, nephew of the founder, restarted production in the old family building. He works the vineyards and the cellar himself. About 3 hectares lie on the Gattinara hills in the historic sites of Lurghe, Permolone, Palo di Ferro, Valferana, Villetto and Piantesio, farmed with integrated production, grass between the rows and mostly manual work. In good years that yields around 20,000 bottles: Gattinara and Gattinara Riserva, a Spanna and a Nebbiolo under the Coste della Sesia DOC, a rosato, and two rosé Metodo Classico sparklings. Nebbiolo is called Spanna locally, and the soils here are volcanic, porphyry and granite rich in iron.
