## About

Ca'd'Gal is a family estate founded by Alessandro Varagnolo, a sommelier and Langhe Wine Ambassador who left an international career in events to build a wine and hospitality project with his family. The estate farms two sites: Tenuta Valdivilla, in Santo Stefano Belbo, birthplace of the writer Cesare Pavese, where six hectares of Guyot-trained vines feed the historic Moscato production, and Tenuta La Cova in Calamandrana, in the Alto Monferrato, home to the newer cellar and the Barbera and white-grape vineyards. Calamandrana sits within the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato area recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2014. Ca'd'Gal is known for its Moscato d'Asti, Asti Spumante and Canelli DOCG, alongside Barbera d'Asti and Piemonte DOC Chardonnay and Sauvignon. The vineyards are SQNPI certified for integrated, low-impact farming, with the estate moving gradually toward organic conversion and using crop rotation and cover cropping to rebuild soil health.
