## About

Bricco Maiolica is a family estate on the Bricco Maiolica hill in Diano d'Alba, worked by four generations since 1928. Bernardo Accomo, known as Cumot, bought a farmhouse and about 5 hectares here; Barbera followed in 1930, Nebbiolo in the 1950s and white grapes in the 1970s. Beppe Accomo, born in 1963, began bottling the estate's own wine in 1985, and in 2013 he and Claudia Castella merged their two farms, which is why the agriturismo is called Casa Castella. The vineyards are farmed without synthetic fungicides or mildew killers. The range covers Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba, two Barberas including Vigna Vigia, Langhe Nebbiolo and Cumot, the Contadin Barolo from Diano d'Alba, a Pinot Noir, Chardonnays including the barrel-fermented Pensiero Infinito, and two Alta Langa sparklers. Diano d'Alba lies a few kilometres from Alba and gives its name to the Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba DOCG.
